Texas County’s unemployment rate stood at 7.2 percent in March, nearly unchanged from the start of the year, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
According to the report, the civilian labor force in the county was 11,254, and the jobless total was 807.
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 7.6; Howell, 7.1; Shannon, 12; and Wright, 6.9.
The rate in south-central Missouri was 7.6 percent.
