Cleo Genevieve Denton Walker, 78, died Thursday, May 24, 2013, in Rolla.
She was born Feb. 27, 1934, in Rolla, daughter of James and Josephine Koenitz Denton. She and William David Walker were married Aug. 12, 1956.
She graduated from Rolla High School and attended Ozark Bible College in Joplin. She and her husband, David, resided to Licking before recently moving to Rolla.
She worked as administrative secretary at Rolla Hospital, a teacher’s aide and clerical worker at B.J. Myer’s doctor’s office.
She enjoyed flower gardening, motorcycle riding, cooking, singing in her church choir and reading. She was a member of the Fidelis Club, Wesleyan Service Guild “UMW,” and Licking United Methodist Church Choir.
She was preceded in death by nine siblings, Sterling, James, Gene, Daniel, Bobby, Harold, Eva, Josephine and Dorothy.
Survivors include her husband, Bill, of Rolla; two sons, John Denton of Rolla and David Donald Walker of Licking; four grandchildren; a sister, Rosemary Roose of St. Louis; and a host of other family members and friends.
Services were Sunday, May 26, at Licking United Methodist Church with Dr. Jack Montgomery officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery under direction of Fox Funeral Home.
