Texas County’s unemployment rate dropped 1.2 percentage points to 6.2 percent in April, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
According to the report, the civilian labor force in the county was 11,446, and the jobless total was 711.
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Douglas, 5.9; Howell, 6.2; Shannon, 9.9; and Wright, 6.1.
The average in south-central Missouri was 6. 6 percent.
