Numerous investigations were handled during the last week by the Houston Police Department.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Morgan C. Jackson of 822 Bryan St. in Houston, was issued a citation for third-degree domestic assault at about 11 p.m. May 10 after allegedly assaulting a 51-year-old woman who shares the same address.

The woman told an investigating officer that Jackson was drunk and had become angry when she cooked some food in a manner he didn’t like. Photographs were taken of injury marks on the woman’s neck.

Jackson was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period.

•Shad P. Jones, 21, of 16684 Brushy Creek Drive in Houston, was issued a citation May 11 for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 10:15 p.m.

An officer made the stop after observing a car traveling south that had a broken passenger side headlight. After making contact with the driver – Jones – the officer smelled marijuana and conducted a search, according to a report. A smoking device was found in Jones’ pocket.

• Christy L. Collins, 35, of 9002 Strawberry Road in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a traffic stop at U.S. 63 and Oak Hill Drive at about 1 a.m. May 12.

An officer made the stop after observing a maroon Ford pickup moving erratically as it traveled north on U.S. 63. After making contact with the driver – Collins – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Collins was taken to the Texas County Jail, and then released into the custody of a relative, according to a report.

• David E. Dow, 47, of 8979 Highway E in Houston, was issued a citation for driving with an expired license plate.

• Jatin M. Patel, 26, of 1493 S. Sam Houston Blvd. in Houston, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a traffic stop at Second and Spruce streets at 3 a.m. May 5.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Lincoln sedan moving erratically as it traveled on Second Street, according to a report. After making contact with the driver – Patel – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted, according to a report. Patel was taken to the Texas County Jail.

• Three local teens were each cited for possession of marijuana after an incident.

The trio was cited after an officer on patrol observed a black Buick sedan parked at the Boesl Conservation Area at about 10:15 p.m. April 27. (the area is closed to the public from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m.).

After making contact with the occupants of the car, the officer noticed a small plastic container sitting next to one of them that appeared to have a leafy substance in it, according to a report. A search of the car revealed multiple containers of marijuana.

Cited were Jeremy M. Snow, 18, of 19960 Wildwood Drive in Raymondville, Tyler D. Rowland, 17, of 318 Cherry St. in Houston, and Nile U. Durbin, 17, of 1202 John St. in Houston.

•Justin A. Canfield, 29, of 811 Dooley St. in Houston, was on May 5 issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle.

• Sonya R. Byrd, 30, of 18232 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was on May 5 issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle.

• Steven W. Labbee, 35, of 166 S. Highway 137 in Raymondville, was on May 1 issued a citation for failure to register a motor vehicle.
