Plans for high-speed Internet will be discussed next week at a meeting at Willow Springs.

An outage in the CenturyLink network was restored late Tuesday morning after service has been out all morning.

The lack of services prevented the Herald from reaching electronic products and updating its website.

CenturyLink’s internet service is down, apparently in a nationwide disruption of service. CenturyLink provides internet service in the Twin Lakes Area.

The disruption is being reported in several states, and earlier this morning posted this message on its Facebook page: “CenturyLink is currently experiencing a disruption in service. We are working to restore service as soon as possible and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. We will continue to work towards resolution until all issues are resolved.”

There have been news reports of the internet outage from Florida and Alabama to Wisconsin.

According to a CenturyLink Facebook posting the outage is affecting Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana, Texas, Kansas, Minnesota, Ohio, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Florida, Colorado, Washington, Virginia, Michigan, Montana, Oregon, Tennesee, Nevada and Illinois.
