A Texas County man has died from injuries sustained in an accident Saturday at Raymondville.

There were no fatal accidents and eight traffic crashes in Troop G of the Missouri State Highway Patrol during the Memorial Day holiday period.

Troopers made 10 DWI arrests, 42 drug arrests, issued 440 speed summonses, 224 safety belt violation summonses, 12 child restraint summonses and assisted 217 motorists over the course of the weekend, said Capt. Dwayne Isringhausen of the patrol.

Troopers working on U.S. 60 also participated in the 20-Mile Trooper Project. Troopers assigned to this operation worked 12-hour shifts to patrol 20-mile intervals on major highways and interstates in Missouri on Friday, May 24, and Monday, May 27. Totals from the operation included:

•73 speed summonses.

•21 seat belt summonses.

•One other hazardous moving vehicle summons.

•Four non-moving summonses.

•One driver’s license summons.

•Three uninsured motorist summonses.

•One misdemeanor warrant arrest.

•Sixty warnings.
