The South Central Solid Waste Management District will hold a waste collection day at Saturday in Houston.
The event is at Houston City Hall. Times are 9 a.m. until noon.
Persons can bring:
•Paints – latex, oil-based and aerosol cans.
•Used motor oil and antifreeze.
•Rechargeable, vehicle and button batteries.
•Pesticides and herbicides.
•Old computers, microwaves and old televisions also will be collected.
This is for households only, and no businesses can participate. No containers can be larger than five gallons.
