A meeting is planned July 2 at Fort Leonard Wood to discuss reductions in the Army and civilian furloughs.

The Maneuver Support Center of Excellence and Fort Leonard Wood commanding general is scheduled to host a town hall meeting here from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m., July 2 in Nutter Field House.

Maj. Gen. Leslie Smith is slated to discuss current budget-related topics, including the upcoming civilian furlough and this week’s force reduction announcement regarding Fort Leonard Wood.

All Department of the Army civilian employees and military supervisors of  civilian employees are encouraged to attend. A question and answer period will follow.

 The event is open to the public.
