The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.
•Kolton C. Morgan, 17, of 15580 Piney Drive in Bucyrus, was issued four citations following a traffic stop on Grand Avenue at about 10:15 p.m. June 14.
An officer made the stop after observing an aluminum can being thrown out the window of a silver Ford Ranger pickup traveling east on Pine Street. After making contact with the driver – Morgan – the officer smelled alcohol and saw two empty beer cans lying in the truck’s bed. Field sobriety tests were conducted.
A 12-year-old boy was reportedly with Morgan and had also consumed beer. A report about his involvement was sent to the county juvenile office.
Morgan was cited for driving while intoxicated, failure to exhibit proof of insurance, possession of drug paraphernalia and littering. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.
•Peter S. Kirn Jr., 35, of 711 Hawthorne St. in Houston, was issued a citation for driving with expired license plate tags after a 9:50 p.m. June 8 traffic stop on Oak Hill Drive
•Robert C. Martin, 23, of 8014 Highway B, Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 at about 9:40 p.m. June 4 after being allegedly caught attempting to shoplift at the Houston Walmart Supercenter.
