Local authorities are now labeling the recent disappearance of a county woman as “suspicious.”

Texas County Sheriff James Sigman has confirmed his department has spent the past few weeks looking virtually nonstop for Shannon J. Minshall, 45, of Willow Springs.

Members of Minshall’s family indicated to law enforcement officials that they last saw her May 23, and that she had no personal items with her. An official missing persons report was filed on May 31.

“She was last seen in Texas County,” Sigman said. “I can say her disappearance is suspicious to us.”

Minshall is a white female, and is 5’5” tall, weighs 130 pounds, and has brown hair and blues eyes. She has several tattoos and a large scar on her left forearm.

Sigman encourages anyone with information about Minshall’s location to call the TCSD at 417-967-4165, or the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Missing Persons Clearinghouse at 573-526-6178.
