Houston police handled several investigations in the last week. 

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Two woman received citations for peace disturbance by fighting after being involved in a scuffle outside the Office Bar on Grand Avenue at about 9:30 p.m. June 7.

An investigating officer reported the fight allegedly began after one of the women asked the other if she had been having an affair with her boyfriend, who was also at the location. A male bartender who witnessed the scuffle stated he had observed the women firing verbal barbs back and then stepping outside after a female bartender told them to “take it outside.”

The male bartender said he followed them to the street and ended up breaking up the fight.

Cited were Sarah L. Howell, 30, of 502 S. First St. in Houston, and Tori F. May, 28, of 112 W. Spruce St., Apt. 4, in Houston.

•Sterling L. Moore, 20, of 11804 Highway 32 in Roby, was arrested June 6 at about 3:34 p.m. for having an active Phelps County warrant for failure to appear in court on an assault charge. An officer made the arrest at the Missouri Probation and Parole Office after being told Moore was there. He was taken to the Texas County Jail and held pending extradition to Phelps County.

•Charles R. Gaston, 54, of 15580 Piney Drive in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on U.S. 63 at about 10:30 p.m. June 6.

•Tiffany M. Griffin, 21, of 107 Martin St. in Licking, was issued a citation for driving with an expired license plate after a traffic stop on Fourth Street at about 7:40 p.m. June 8.

•Harold D. Smith, 51, of 18280 Brushy Creek Road in Houston, was issued a citation for width of vehicle exceeding 8.5 feet after a traffic stop on Brushy Creek Road at about 2 p.m. June 5.

An officer made the stop after observing a truck towing a single-wide mobile home on U.S. 63 that displayed no warning banners or flags and was not properly lighted. The officer stated the trailer was 12-feet wide, was 77-feet long when the length limit is 65, and that Smith didn’t have a permit for towing it.

•Joshua A. Jennings, 21, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 1 in Houston, was issued a citation for peace disturbance after an incident involving his former girlfriend at about 6:45 p.m. May 29. The girlfriend told an investigating officer that Jennings had come to her residence and she had told him to leave several times but he refused. She stated that Jennings became angry and began throwing her belongings around. An officer located and arrested Jennings at a Skyview Terrace residence. He was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•Lisa M. Christ, 50, of 291 Fifth St. in Summersville, was arrested at about 9:15 p.m. May 29 for having active Texas County warrants for stealing and non-support. An officer made the arrest at a Thomasville Road residence. Christ was taken to the Texas County Jail where she was unable to post $5,000 bond.

•Cody K. Mills, 19, and Dustin E. Mills, 21, both of 125 S. Lake St. in Mountain Grove, were each issued citations charging them with stealing under $500 after allegedly attempting to shoplift at about 7:30 p.m. June 1 at Houston Walmart.

•Douglas P. Lewis, 41, of 777 Highway 17, Apt. 13, in Houston, was issued a citation for driving with an expired license plate after a traffic stop on Grand Avenue at about 2 p.m. June 4.
