Two persons were seriously injured Wednesday night in a crash about four miles west of Cabool.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol said a southbound 1995 Ford F250 pickup driven by Makaela B. Nelson, 17, pulled in the path of a westbound 2004 Ford truck operated by John D. Collins, 34, of Moody.
Troopers said Nelson’s vehicle travelled off the left side of the roadway and came to rest in the median. Collins’ truck went across the median, struck a road sign, crossed the eastbound lanes and came to rest on the side side of U.S. 60.
Collins, who was not wearing a seat belt, was flown to Cox South in Springfield. Nelson, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston.
Both vehicles were totaled. Five troopers and the Mountain Grove and Cabool police departments were on the scene.
