County authorities report that a Yukon man faces several charges, including parental kidnapping and assault, after an incident Friday morning in Raymondville.
A Texas County Sheriff’s Department report indicates that deputies were dispatched to a Old Yukon Road residence regarding a report of a 24-year-old Mountain View woman being thrown from a vehicle. The woman told officers that she and her boyfriend had been in an argument, and that he had punched her several times while they were in the vehicle, and had eventually pulled over and thrown her out through the driver’s side door.
An officer reported that the woman had been sitting in the middle, while the man and woman’s young child was in a car seat on the passenger’s side. The woman was able to flag down a passer-by who then called the TCSD to report her situation.
Officers have been unable to locate the man, but a probable cause statement was sent to the county prosecutor for possible charges of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child, parental kidnapping, second-degree domestic assault and driving with a suspended license.
