More than 100 attended the 8th District regional Farm Bureau meeting last Tuesday in Houston. The gathering was the first step in setting the organization’s policy for the coming year.
The White River National Blueway System was discussed. The effort has since been dropped by the U.S. Interior Department.
U.S. Rep. Jason Smith, R-Salem, also visited at the meeting and was available to take questions.
