Donald Alan “Skip” Durick, 59, died Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at his home in Elk Creek.
He was born Nov. 8, 1953, in Detroit, Mich., son of Donald and Donna Hoffman Durick.
He grew up in Glen Rock, N.J. He met and married his wife, Cindy, in 1975 in Wisconsin, where they raised their family and worked until retiring to their hobby farm in Elk Creek.
He worked the majority of his career as a maintenance engineer and then site coordinator at St. Catherine’s Hospital/United Hospital Systems in Kenosha, Wisc.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Houston.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy, of Elk Creek; his daughter, Stephanie of Kenosha, Wisc.; four grandchildren; and two sisters, Dulce of New York and Lawri of Wisconsin.
Services were Friday, Aug. 30 at the United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Tomlinson and Beth Duckworth officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
