Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Dalton L. Hall, 20, of 18785 Highway H in Elk Creek, was arrested at 5 p.m. July 30 for having an active Texas County warrant for stealing over $500. An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest after observing Hall leaving a retail store in downtown Houston.

Hall was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was unable to post $150,000 bond.

•Steven A. Barton, 19, of 11872 S. Highway 19 in Salem, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting fishing gear from the Houston Walmart on July 16. An officer cited Barton at 2:30 a.m. July 21 after making contact with him at a U.S. 63 gas station.

•Zackary N. Clark, 28, of 210 E. Highway 32 in Licking, was issued a citation at 10:05 p.m. July 26 on charges of providing alcohol to a minor. Clark was ticketed after an officer was dispatched to the intersection of Third and Steffens streets regarding a drunk man.

After making contact with Clark, who was standing next to a car, the officer observed a young woman in the back seat who was sleeping and had a bottle of rum next to her. The woman was awakened and told the officer she had obtained the liquor from Clark.

The woman – Brittany L. Thompson, 20, of 5395 Big Creek Road in Yukon – was issued a citation for minor in possession of alcohol by consumption.

•David W. Barton, 31, of 308 Skyview Terrace in Houston, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop at 5:40 p.m. Aug. 3 on First Street.
