Following an investigation led by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department that lasted several weeks, a Licking man faces multiple charges and six other people are expected to be charged related to a string of burglaries in the northern part of the county.
County authorities said Timothy S. Vestal, 23, has been charged with burglary, stealing, possession of tools related to burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
Within the past week, several items have been recovered that were stolen during the spree, ranging from flat screen televisions to trailers.
The TCSD was assisted in the lengthy investigation by officers with the Licking Police Department and South Central Drug Task Force.
“I’d like to thank the community for their assistance in bringing these subjects to justice,” Texas County Sheriff James Sigman said.
Vestal is held in the Texas County Jail on $650,000 bond. Authorities expect charges to soon be filed on Vestal’s accomplices.
