Linda Gail Brabant, 62, died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013, at her home in Plato.
She was born Aug. 11, 1951, in Houston, daughter of John and Murtice Woodall Higginbotham. She and Warren Brabant were married in June 1978 in Fort Belvoir, Va.
She grew up moving from military base to military base with her father. She spent time in Germany, Fort Hood, Texas, Fort Dix, N.J. and Fort Leonard Wood.She attended school on many of these military bases, but started high school in Houston, Miss. She attended college at Fort Leonard Wood and completed two associate degrees.
She worked 20 years for Central Texas College as an administration assistant and retired from there in 2008.
She joined the military in August 1977 and completed her duty in August 1980.
She loved her family, gardening, cleaning, country music and hunting with her husband, Warren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Bill Higginbotham; and a sister, Kay Tren;
Survivors include her husband, Warren, of the home in Plato; two sons, Billy Moore of Houston, Miss., and John Brabant of Plato; a daughter, Rosanna Jemes of Grovesprings; four grandchildren; a sister, Mary Jean Nabors of Houston, Miss.; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial services are 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at Evans Funeral Home with the Rev. Lawrence Chatman officiating. Visitation is 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard Wood.
