The 4-H Shooting Sports program in Texas County took four youth to the state trap shoot Aug. 24-25 at Prairie Grove.
Winners were:
Remington Shelton shot junior trap singles.
Dalton Grider shot a 99 out of a 100 and received the honor of “top gun” for senior trap singles.
Travis Hutson shot a 91 out of a 100 and placed fourth on senior trap doubles.
Dustin Smith shot a 97 out of 100 and placed fifth on senior trap singles.
The program is hosting a safety class at 6-9 p.m. Oct. 21-22 at the University Extension office in Houston for those interesting in joining.
