Gary Woodrow Banks, 39, died Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013, in Springfield.

He was born March 5, 1954, in Mountain Grove, son of J.H. and Lillian Lois Hurt Banks Cooley.

He graduated from Eminence High School in 1972.

He began his work history at Wards Store in Eminence before joining Rains and LaGrand Feed Store in Poplar Bluff. He worked for the railroad while living in Malden, owned a roofing company in St. Joseph and hauled canoes for Two Rivers Canoe Rental in Eminence. He later with a truck drive with his brother, Kerry.

He enjoyed hunting along the Scenic Riverways. He also loved his animals from his family farm that he and his wife, Kathy, cared for together.

Memorial services are 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 28, at the home of Kerry Banks, 2744 Switchgrass Road, Fordland, Mo. Call 417-859 4715 for directions.
