A Hartville woman was killed Monday afternoon in a Cabool accident.
Shirley A. Willhite, 59, was driving a southbound 2008 Toyota Yaris that ran off Highway M and begin sliding. Cpl. Curtis Haden said the driver overcorrected, crossing the centerline before it ran off the roadway and struck an embankment and tree.
Authorities said she died at the scene. She was not wearing a seat belt.
The accident occurred about 4.5 miles north of Cabool.
It was the 20th fatality in Troop G this year. Last year there were 23 fatalities at this time.
