Houston High School’s annual homecoming is Friday, Oct. 4, organizers announced. The Houston Alumni Association also will host events.

This year’s theme is “Roll Out the Red Carpet.” A parade will arrive downtown at 1:45 p.m. Queen coronation is 6:30 p.m. at the football field, followed by the Tigers’ football game against Ava at 7 p.m.

Homecoming queen candidates are: Stephani Crewse and Megan Morland, freshmen; Melody Tate and Chloe Morning, sophomores; Emily Grimm and Chelsea Shelton, juniors; and Hailey Dodson and Mariah Clifton, seniors.

The weekend will conclude with a dance for high school students from 7:30-10 p.m. on Saturday.
