A community radio station plans an Oktoberfest celebration for Sunday, Oct. 13.

Community radio station KZGM (KZ88, 88.1 FM) in Cabool will host an Oktoberfest celebration Sunday, Oct. 13, in the station’s parking lot at 1211 Ozark St.

The event will run from noon to 4 p.m., and will include food and a complimentary root beer garden with homemade root beer.

“We’ll have the best ’wurst around,” said KZ88’s Myron Jackson, “as well as hot dogs, fresh hot pretzels and other traditional snacks. “And, of course, Oktoberfest would not be complete without a traditional rummage sale.”

Everyone is encouraged to bring an item or two along to donate to the sale. Items can also be dropped off at the station before the event.

KZ88 on-air hosts and volunteers will be on hand.

“It will be a great time to visit with them as well as other listeners, family and friends,” Jackson said.

There is no admission charge.

All proceeds from the rummage sale (and any donations) benefit KZ88 community radio.

“Spread the word and enjoy the Oktoberfest party,” Jackson said.
