Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol will be out in force for the long Labor Day holiday. 

There were no fatal traffic accidents in Troop G during the Labor Day holiday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Troopers investigated two alcohol-related traffic crashes, one non-injury boating crash and 13 traffic crashes from Friday, Aug. 30, through Monday, Sept. 30. The patrol made 675 arrests, issued 679 warnings and assisted 191 motorists.

Other totals from the holiday period included:

  • Eight DWI arrests.
  • 338 speed summonses.
  • 126 seat belt summonses.
  • Six child restrained summonses.
  • 15 drug arrests.
  • 182 other arrests.

“The Labor Day holiday weekend is a time for families to enjoy the last getaway of the summer,” Capt. Dwayne F. Isringhausen. “However, it can be a tragic time when drivers do not give their complete attention to their driving.  I want to thank the public for their safe driving efforts, and remind everyone to always buckle their safety belt.”
