Junior Lizzy Swindell had four hits and knocked in three runs as the Houston softball team rallied past Plato 9-5 Thursday.
Kaylea Preheim had three hits and two RBIs for the Lady Tigers, who snapped a three-game losing skid. Autumn Walker, Taylor Franklin and Swindell scored two runs apiece. Tommi Franklin stole three bases.
Houston trailed 3-2 before scoring five times in the top of the fourth inning. Swindell had a RBI single to tie it, and Preheim followed with a two-run triple. She scored on Tommi Franklin’s groundout.
Harrison worked all seven innings in the victory. She struck out one and walked two.
Houston won despite committing five errors.
The HHS junior varsity won 9-0.
