William Gale Yoder, 69, Licking, died Thursday, Sept. 5, on the farm south of Holden.
He was born Feb. 22, 1944, in Quick City, son of James Levi and Beverly Maxine Newman Yoder. He and Martha Kay Garrett were married Nov. 2, 1969, in Fort Gordon, Ga.
He graduated from Holden High School in 1962 and earned bachelor and master’s degrees from the University of Missouri. Bill was an Army veteran of the Vietnam era.
He lived in Licking since 1976. He was the director of the George O. White State Forest Nursery, member of the Christian Church, member of the Piney River Covey of Quail Forever and member of the Big Piney Sportsman Club.
Survivors include his wife, Martha; a daughter, Lynda Gail Shelton of Cabool; a brother, James Yoder of Lenexa, Kan.; and two grandchildren.
Graveside services with full military honors were Monday, Sept. 9, in Medford Cemetery in Holden.
