Beatrice "Janice" Provencio

Beatrice Janice Provencio, 76, died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, in Houston.

She was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Troy, Tenn., daughter of Hugh Jefferson and Hazel Nanny (Davis) Roney was born October 4, 1937 in Troy, Tennessee. She passed away on October 30, 2013 in Houston, Missouri.

She moved to California when she was in her early 20s and lived there more than 40 years. She joined her children and grandchildren in Missouri when she moved to the Houston area in 2005.

She loved to be outdoors in her younger years. She enjoyed camping, fishing, driving, eating out and watching older family sitcoms and movies. She especially liked the Walton’s, Andy Griffith and I Love Lucy.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Reggie Wengler; three husbands, Eugene Floyd Wengler, William F. Edwards and Robert Provencio; and a brother.

Survivors include two sons, Kevin Wengler and Timothy Edwards; a stepdaughter, Stacy Wengler; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Eva “Maxine Wright; and many other family members.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 2, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial was Monday, Nov. 4, in New Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau with Pastor Joe McCoullugh officiating.
