Halloween activities are planned Oct. 31 in downtown Houston.

Downtown Houston will celebrate Halloween with an event from 6 to 8 Thursday.

Financial support and/or candy are sought. Booth space is available. Set up is 5:15 to 5:45 p.m. Vehicles need to be off the street by 5:45 p.m. It recommended that booths handout two pieces of candy per person beginning at 6 p.m.

Cornerstone Church is providing a free chili dinner from 5:30 until 7 p.m. that night.

Faith Fellowship will have games, food and more with the theme “Minion Madness” near the Lone Star Plaza. The church will set up an inflatable bounce house and obstacle course for kids. There will be free candy, hot dogs and cotton candy. Sodas and deep-fried twinkies will be available to purchase. Movie clips from “Despicable Me 2” will also be shown.
