Senior Emily Harrison and the HHS Lady Tigers are seeded third and face Plato in the Class 2 District 3 tournament.

The Houston softball team is hosting districts for the first time in program history.

The Class 2 District 3 tournament kicks off Wednesday on Carter Field with a pair of first-round games. The nightcap at 6:30 p.m. features the No. 3 Lady Tigers against sixth-seeded Plato.

Thursday’s games begin at 4:30 p.m. at top-seeded Willow Springs faces the winner of the Mountain Grove-Liberty game. At 6:30 p.m., No. 2 Gainesville will play the Houston-Plato winner. The championship game is 5 p.m. Friday.

Admission is $4 for fans ages 6 and older. Season passes will not be accepted, per guidelines from the Missouri State High School Activities Association.

(3) Houston vs. (6) Plato, 6:30 p.m.

Thursday’s games

(1) Willow Springs vs. MG-LHS winner, 4:30 p.m.

(2) Gainesville vs. HHS-PHS winner, 6:30 p.m.

Friday’s game

Championship, 5 p.m.
