JANET STILLEY

Janet Dawn Stilley, 73, of Springfield, died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2013, at Christian Health Care in Republic.

She was born July 22, 1940, in Texas County, daughter of James Raymond and Eleanor Dawn Gourley Stilley.

Sheenjoyed caring for the residents in the nursing home where she worked, as well as spending time with her family, especially the grandkids. She loved watching hummingbirds and squirrels play and enjoyed taking care of her flowers. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Kimberly Dawn Blevins; her parents; and three siblings, Leroy Stilley, Jerry Stilley, and Linda Stilley.

Survivors include three children, Jim Blevins of Paola, Kan., David Blevins of Republic and Wanda Engleman of Torrance, Calif.; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Lowell Stilley of Bucyrus; four sisters, Ermal Wondergem of Greensville, Mich., and Kay Dillon, Debbie Stilley and Brenda Kinserlow of Bucyrus; and other relatives and friends.

Services were Saturday, Oct. 26, at Meadors Funeral Home in Republic. Burial was in John’s Chapel near Ash Grove.
