Sales tax revenue collected by merchants in Texas County showed robust growth during the latest monthly distribution, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.
The total from each of three half-cent sales taxes was about $77,252. That’s up about 23 percent on each from the same monthly period a year ago — or about $14,431 each.
For the first 10 months of the year, each tax has generated about $785,600, which is up about 3 percent.
The funds are used for county operations, maintenance and debt retirement on the justice center.Â
