Sales tax revenue reported in Texas County is up in 2013.

Sales tax revenue collected by merchants in Texas County showed robust growth during the latest monthly distribution, reports the Missouri Department of Revenue.

The total from each of three half-cent sales taxes was about $77,252. That’s up about 23 percent on each from the same monthly period a year ago — or about $14,431 each.

For the first 10 months of the year, each tax has generated about $785,600, which is up about 3 percent.

The funds are used for county operations, maintenance and debt retirement on the justice center.
