A Plato teenager was injured Thursday in an accident in northwest Texas County.
Tpr. Douglas Pfeifer said a southbound 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Joshua M. Brazee, 16, ran off the right side of the roadway and returned back across. Pfeifer said the driver lost control, the vehicle overturned and came to rest on its wheels. Brazee still had his foot on the accelerator and drove the vehicle off the right side of the roadway, into a ditch and struck a tree, said Pfeifer.
Brazee, who was wearing a seatbelt, was taken by ambulance to Phelps County Regional Medical Center following the crash on Highway AW about one mile from the south gate of Fort Leonard Wood.
