Texas County led the state in the fall firearms deer season. Fewer violations were tallied, according to report issued Monday.

Texas County remained on top of the fall firearms deer season leader board Friday.

The count stood at 2,282 in the county. Other top counties in the state: Oregon, 2,249; and Howell, 2,219.

The breakdown in Texas County: 1,163, antlered bucks; 248, button bucks; and 871, does.

Statewide, the tally is 105,642.
