A Houston Police Department investigation led to charges against a Lebanon woman.

Two Houston men were each issued citations for stealing under $500 after allegedly shoplifting several items of food from the Houston Walmart in the early morning hours of Nov. 18.

According to a report, an officer on patrol at about 4:20 a.m. observed two men exit the store, followed by a female employee. The officer made contact with the employee and she stated that the two men had swiped food items.

The officer made contact with the men near the Murphy Oil gas station adjacent to the store and they admitted stealing the items.

Cited were Charles J. Smith, 25, and Rodney D. Skaggs, 23, both of 1010 Thomasville Road in Houston. They were taken to the Texas County Jail, fingerprinted and released.
