The Houston Police Department has been awarded funding for some new equipment.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Clinton L. Gale, 54, of 337 S. Main St. in Licking, was issued citations for driving while intoxicated and failure to drive on the right half of the roadway after a 1:15 a.m. Dec. 1 traffic stop on Ozark Street.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Ford Explorer moving erratically on First Street. After making contact with the driver – Gale – the officer smelled alcohol and field sobriety tests were conducted. Gale was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•A 46-year-old Houston woman reported on Nov. 18 that her credit card had been used by her 16-year-old daughter to make numerous unauthorized online purchases totaling $1,648. A report was sent to the Texas County juvenile office.

•Roman M. Gaston, 29, of 7755 Morton Road in Houston, was issued a citation on Dec. 3 for failure to register a motor vehicle.

•Rosemarie L. Shelton, 37, of 9708 Highway 17 in Bucyrus, was issued a citation for driving with a suspended license after a traffic stop on Highway 17 at about 8:10 p.m. Dec. 2.

An officer made the stop after observing a white Nissan Altima traveling without its headlights on.
