The Missouri State Highway Patrol issued a report Monday related to the Christmas holiday period.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released statistics compiled during Operation C.A.R.E. (Combined Accident Reduction Effort) Life Savers Weekend over the Christmas holiday.

Capt. Dwayne F. Isringhausen, commanding officer of Willow Springs-based Troop G, announced the following traffic totals:

•One fatal crash.

•Investigation of four alcohol-related traffic crashes and 23 traffic crashes on C.A.R.E. designated highways. 

•Four DWI arrests, seven drug arrests, 72 other arrests, and issued 78 citations for speed, 38 seat belt citations, and two child restraint citations. 

•Additionally, officers issued 238 warnings and provided 117 motorist assists.
