The Houston Police Department has been awarded funding for some new equipment.

Houston police officers reported these investigations this week:

•Lesa M. Kinney, 51, of 317 Hawthorne St. in Houston, was issued a citation for allowing a dog to run at large after it allegedly attacked a 38-year-old female postal service worker who was delivering mail Nov. 23 on King Street. The victim stated she wasn’t sure if she had been bitten or clawed, but she sought medical treatment for her injury and another mail carrier finished her route.

•Robert L. James, 73, of 6421 U.S. 63 in Houston, was issued a citation for failure to yield on Dec. 2 after a two-car crash at about 5:15 p.m. on U.S. 63 at the entrance to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
