The following reports were generated last week by the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

•A deputy was dispatched at about 1:30 a.m. Dec. 16 to a Highway 17 residence at Houston regarding a report of trespassing.

A 36-year-old man who lives there told the officer his 29-year-old girlfriend wouldn’t leave and he didn’t want her there. The woman was advised to leave and that if she returned she would be cited for trespassing. She said she understood and left.

•A Mountain Grove police officer reported on Nov. 29 that a 52-year-old man had come to the department’s station and stated that several power tools valued at $1,200 had been stolen from his Highway AM residence. The investigating deputy determined that a 30-year-old Mountain Grove man could be a suspect.

•Deputies were dispatched at about 9 p.m. Dec. 14 to look for a car that reportedly went off of U.S. 63 between Houston and Mike Jones Auto. The search was called off when investigating officers were contacted indicating the car had been found and was OK.

•Deputies were dispatched at about 12:15 a.m. Dec. 11 to assist Summersville police with arresting a man at a Highway JJ residence. The officers didn’t find the man at that location, but while deputies were still at the Summersville PD station, he came in and was arrested.

•The Camden County Sheriff’s Department called at about 7 p.m.  Dec. 14 to request that a deputy check the well being of a Roby woman at a Highway 32 residence. The officer made contact with her and she stated she was fine. 

•A man called at about 5 a.m. Dec. 13 to report that he and his girlfriend were arguing at their Orchard Street residence at Raymondville. An investigating officer made contact with the pair, and they agreed to leave each other alone for 12 hours.

•A woman called at about 1:25 a.m. Dec. 14 to request that a deputy come to her Orchard Street residence at Raymondville. The woman was gone when the officer arrived.

•A man called at about 9:30 p.m. Dec. 12 to report finding a yellow Suzuki ATV under the bridge where U.S. 63 passes over the Big Piney River at the Gardner’s Ford Access.

An investigating officer determined the ATV (valued at $5,000) had been reported stolen from Mountain Grove. The Mountain Grove Police Department and a towing service company were contacted.

•A man called at about 12:20 a.m. Dec. 9 indicating he wanted to report his vehicle stolen because he had loaned it to a friend who wouldn’t return it. An officer advised the man he couldn’t report the vehicle stolen because he had loaned it out, and that the matter was civil, not criminal.

•A man called at about 12:25 a.m. Dec. 13 to report an injured deer on the roadway. An investigating officer killed the deer, and the man who placed the call arranged to receive a conservation tag for it.

•The pastor at a church on Nagle Church Road at Tyrone reported on Nov. 26 that an air conditioning unit and copper tubing from a propane tank had been stolen from the church. There are no suspects.

•A 44-year-old Bucyrus woman reported on Dec. 11 that an Acer laptop computer valued at $378 had been stolen from her Piney Drive residence.
