Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•James A. Drewel, 47, of 811 Dooley St. in Houston, was arrested on Jan. 18 for having an active Texas County warrant for driving while intoxicated (prior offender), driving with a revoked or suspended license and failing to properly signal a turn. An officer who was aware of the warrant arrested Drewel at his residence. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $100,000 bond and was released.

•Andrew J. Henderson, 32, of 133 Cherry St. in Raymondville, was arrested on Jan. 18 for having an active Texas County warrant for failure to display license plates and no insurance. He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he posted $282 bond and was released.

•Jenny L. Walker, 35, of 307 Davis St. in Houston, was arrested on Jan. 12 for having three active warrants.

An officer who was aware of a Houston municipal warrant on Walker for possession of marijuana arrested her at The Animal Shelter of Texas County after being advised she was there. A computer check revealed Walker also had an active parole violation warrant and an active Howell County warrant for forgery, neither of which had a bond.

She was taken to the Texas County Jail.

•Jacob A. Case, 21, of 906 W. Spruce St. in Houston, was issued a citation on Jan. 10 for failure to place right side of vehicle against right side of roadway after an officer observed a maroon Dodge truck parked on the wrong side of Steffens Street at about 10:15 p.m.

•Timothy E. Sullins, 30, of 289 Highway B at Raymondville, was arrested on Jan. 14 for having four active warrants.

An officer who was aware of the warrants arrested Sullins in the parking lot of the Walmart Supercenter after observing him walking toward a car.

Sullins was wanted on a parole violation warrant, two Houston municipal warrants for stealing ($645 bond) and a felony Wright County warrant for failure to appear (no bond). He was taken to the Texas County Jail where he was unable to post bond.

•Tommy W. Barton, 33, of 426 Fourth St. in Houston, was issued a citation for third-degree assault on Dec. 22 after allegedly head-butting his 32-year-old girlfriend during an altercation at their residence.

An investigating officer stated Barton was on probation and had been drinking, which was a violation of his parole terms. He was taken to the Texas County Jail for a 12-hour hold period and his parole officer was to be contacted.
