Houston police handled several investigations during the last week.

The following reports were generated last week by the Houston Police Department.

•Jennifer D. Henderson, 29, of 306 Broadway Ave. in Houston, was arrested on Jan. 17 for having an active Texas County warrant for no seat belt. An officer who was aware of the warrant made the arrest after observing Henderson in the lobby at the Texas County Sheriff’s Department.

•Randy P. Hogan, 46, of 8164 Morton Road, Lot 20, in Houston, was issued citations for failure to exhibit an insurance identification card and displaying plates of another after a 5 p.m. Jan. 21 traffic stop on Oak Crest Street.

An officer made the stop after observing a gold Buick LeSabre turn left from U.S. 63 onto Oak Crest Street without utilizing the left turn lane. A computer check revealed that the plates on Logan’s car were registered to another vehicle.

•Tamirah L. Jones, 24, of 1010 Thomasville Road in Houston, was issued a citation for stealing under $500 on Jan. 15 after allegedly being involved in a check fraud incident at the Houston Walmart Supercenter.

An investigating officer reported that a Walmart representative stated that Jones had cashed a payroll check at the store’s service desk on Dec. 27, but a Progressive Ozark Bank employee called and stated the check had already been deposited in Jones’ account.

•Joshua E. Purcell, 29, of 8419 Highway 137 in Raymondville, was issued a citation for disturbance of public peace after an alleged disturbance Jan. 13 at the Houston Walmart Supercenter. Purcell is alleged to have “huffed” (breathed in) air duster and cussed at an employee.
