Knapweed along a county highway.

The Texas County Township Advisory Board will conduct a meeting open to the public at 7 p.m. Jan. 27 at the Texas County Justice Center in Houston.

The board is made up of officials from all 17 of the county’s townships. The board, the county commissioners and the Missouri Department of Transportation are working together to form a plan to control noxious weeds along county roadways, primarily spotted knapweed.

Advisory Board Chairman Jack Watson said a representative from MFA will be on hand to offer support and possible cost of spraying.

For more information call Watson at 417-217-0411.
