E. Fern Robertson, 64, passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014, at her home near Mountain Grove.
She was born Oct. 19, 1949, in Gainesville, daughter of Orval Claud and Norma Arlene Hathcock Evans. She and Francis Robertson were married June 10, 1967, in Mountain Grove.
She grew up in the Dawt Mill Community in Ozark County and attended Gainsville School. She home in the Mountain Grove area for many years.
She worked 40 years at Walmart in Mountain Grove. He co-workers held a celebration in her honor on Jan. 30. She loved her job and enjoyed the customers she came in contact with.
She loved going to Bluegrass Festivals with her sisters whenever she got the chance. She liked tending to her flower gardens each year and spending time in her yard. She enjoyed cooking for her family.
She was saved at a young age and was baptized, along with her husband, Francis, in 1972 at the Christian Church in Mountain Grove. She attended the Hopewell Free Will Baptist Church near Mountain Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Dave Evans and Donnie Evans.
Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Francis Robertson of the home; two sons, Corey Robertson and Wayne Robertson of Mountain Grove; a daughter, Beverly Robertson, of Mountain Grove; four brothers, Bob Evans and Larry Evans of Mountain Home, Ark., Junior Evans of Tecumseh and Jim Evans of Ava; two sisters, Linda McCrea of Houston and Annie Sloan of Mountain Grove; three grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were Tuesday, Feb. 4, at Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Frank McCune officiating. Burial was in Rock Springs Cemetery.
