Nettie Miranda Floyd Evans, 93, passed away Saturday, Feb. 8, 2014, in Allen, Texas.
She was born Jan. 11, 1921, near Montauk daughter of Charley Floyd and Lura Nelson. She and Ernest Mitchell Evans were married Sept. 17, 1938.
She was saved at an early age and attended church as long as 
she was able. She loved the outdoors, gardening, fishing, quilting and coconut cream pies.
She was preceeded in death by her husban,d Ernest; her parents; a son, Junior; an infant daughter, Marie; three sisters, Ollie Ruth Rey, Mattie Cooper and Doris Simmercock; and four brothers, Udell, Udolf, Delmer and Gene.
Survivors include a daughter, Velma Darlene Wilson of Arizona; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; a sister, Clemmie; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Services were Tuesday, Feb. 11, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Robert Gifford officiating. Burial was in Boone Creek Cemetery.
