Filings for offices in the August Primary continue.

Additional filings for Texas County offices occurred Friday.

The Texas County clerk’s office reported candidacy paperwork completed Friday by Susan Warkentin, recorder of deeds, incumbent; and Parke Stevens Jr., prosecuting attorney. Both are Republicans.

Filings opened last Tuesday for candidates seeking their party’s nomination in the August Primary.

Filing on opening day were incumbents Don Troutman, county clerk, Democrat; Marci Mosley, circuit clerk, Republican; Fred Stenger, presiding commissioner, Republican; Michael Anderson, prosecutor, Republican; and Doug Gaston, associate circuit judge, Republican.

Filings for the 8th Congressional seat are: U.S. Rep. Jason Smith, a Salem Republican; Barbara Stocker, a Silva Democrat; and Doug Enyart, Piedmont, Constitution Party.

Rep. Robert Ross, R-Yukon, filed for re-election. Phelps County Prosecutor John Beger, a Rolla Republican, filed for the circuit judge, division 2, slot.

The deadline to file is March 25.
