Houston second baseman Trevor Merckling prepares to throw to first base after forcing out a Salem runner.

The Houston baseball team’s game Thursday against Cuba has been moved forward one hour due to the threat of inclement weather.

The first pitch will be thrown at 3 p.m. in the final game of the Neal’s Sporting Goods Classic for HHS. The nightcap between Mountain Grove and Salem was also moved forward to 5 p.m.

The Tigers (1-1) won the opener 16-4 Monday against Salem before losing 3-1 Tuesday to Mountain Grove.
