Houston High School freshman Abby Casper was a winner in her first high school track meet. Casper ran the 100 meters in 13.39 seconds to top her competitors in the sprint at the Salem Invitational earlier this month.
Krista Scott ran the 300 hurdles in 58.20 to finish fourth and was seventh in the 100. Freshman Jaydin Ramsey was sixth in both the 400 (1:12.37) and triple jump (26 feet, 11 inches).
Trenton Best paced the HHS boys with a fifth-place finish in the 300 meter hurdles. He ran the event in 47.40.
Kyelor Curtis placed 16th in the triple jump (29-07) and Christian Neal ran the mile in 5:43 to place 16th.
