HERB DICKARD

Herbert Edward Dickard III, 69, son of Herbert Edward, Jr. and Charlene (Todd) Dickard, was born Sept. 12, 1944, at Wichita, Kan. He passed away on April 2, 2014, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Vincent.

Herb is survived by his wife, Rose; sisters, Kinta and husband David Clark of Elk Creek, Mo., and Candy and husband Steve Meadows of Issaquah, Wash.; and four nieces.

Herb grew up and graduated from high school in San Diego, Calif. He graduated from San Diego State College and University of San Diego Law School in 1968.

Herb married Rose Quint on July 25, 1970, in Los Angeles, Calif. During their married life, they lived in Florida, Colorado, Texas and retired to the Houston area, where he had spent many summers with his grandparents. He worked in the oil industry throughout his career. He was on the board of TRAIN for many years and was active in Lions Club.

Herb built their log home and several furniture pieces. He also enjoyed restoring his 1928 Chevrolet truck, was an avid reader, and had many hobbies throughout his lifetime. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

No services are planned. Mr. Dickard was cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
