HPD, other area law agencies taking part in drug take-back event

A drug take-back event for prescription and over-the-counter drugs is Saturday in Houston.

The Houston Police Department will assist with a a collection site for unwanted pharmaceuticals from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Walmart. The event is part of the National Drug Take Back Initiative.

Other take-back participants and sites include the police stations in Willow Springs and Thayer, Howell County Sheriff’s Department in West Plains, Gainesville City Hall and Theodosia Town Hall. 

All collection sites are listed on the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) website at www.deadiversion.usdoj.gov.
