Gov. Jay Nixon will take a campaign to expand Medicaid to the largest healthcare provider in south-central Missouri on Wednesday (April 2).
Nixon is set to appear at 1 p.m. at Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains to discuss have the lack of action has hurt the area’s economy and sent Missouri taxpayer dollars to other states, his office announced.
Nixon said Tuesday that the Missouri taxpayers have spent nearly $500 million to provide healthcare to other states since Jan. 1.Â
