Orval Leo Curtis, 83, of Mountain Grove, passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014.

He was born April 3, 1931, in Duke, son of Willie and Nellie Vaughn Curtis. He and Bonnie Ellis were married Dec. 4, 1970.

He retired from Whitecastle Janitorial Service of Springfield. He also worked at Mansfield/Roby Car Auction.

He enjoyed coon hunting, beekeeping, showing horses and fishing –– mainly with his brother, Delbert.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Paul, Lonzo, and Delbert; and a stepson Randy Whillhite.

Survivors include his wife, Bonnie; five children, Junior, John, Melissa, Danny and Tony; two stepchildren, Brenda and Ricky; 20 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and seven siblings, Evert, Bill Wayne, Johnny, Jurl, Florine, Roberta, and Lolita.

A celebration of life service is 10 a.m. Saturday, April 26, at Full Gospel Church in Edgar Springs. Arrangements were under the direction of Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield.
